Many people are struggling right now, especially during this difficult time, but thankfully there are kind Malaysians who are always there to lend a helping hand!
Kuan Chee Heng or better known as Uncle Kentang online, shared in his Facebook post of a wheelchair-bound, elderly aunty who was left alone in her tiny home.
SALAM SAYANG JKM...#jabatankebajikanmasyarakat OLD, WHEELCHAIR BOUND AND LEFT ALONE TO DIE BY HERSELF..... Alone, left...

His caption reads: “Old, wheelchair-bound and left alone to die by herself. Alone, left in this small house, almost like a storeroom.”
“She is probably 80 years old. She doesn't even have pants to wear and wrapped herself in a trash bag. A plastic trash bag. She sleeps in this room, and it is like a prison. There are no lights. She asked us for candles, which I refused because she might burn herself to death.”
According to Uncle Kentang, the aunty, who was apparently born in Penang, manages to pay her rent through the RM300 contribution she receives every month from the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

Uncle Kentang added that she was happy to get some fresh air after being stuck in her home for so long.
“She told me she still pays her rent, RM300 from JKM every month. One person would bring her a meal every day between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, which is very kind. There are rubbish and faeces everywhere.
“When we brought her out of her house to get some air, she smiled.”
We’re so glad that Uncle Kentang found her! If you want to help, you can head over to Uncle Kentang’s Facebook page to find out more.
