Barbed wire fences will not be set up around the Selangor sub-districts affected by the Enhanced Movement Control Order, which starts tomorrow.
State police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed says cops will instead mount roadblocks at entry points, adding that officers will be stationed at several areas to monitor residents’ movements.

He says 80% of the state’s police force will be deployed to ensure SOP compliance.
He adds that up to 140 fixed roadblocks will be placed statewide while mobile roadblocks will continuously be moved to different locations.
On another note, Datuk Arjunaidi doubts that many people will try to flee the state ahead of the EMCO.
It’s because authorities are enforcing strict measures along the borders of neighbouring states.
He adds that only individuals with the relevant documents, such as for work purposes, will be allowed to cross state borders.
He says those caught travelling beyond the border will be issued a compound and told to turn back.
However, residents will be allowed to travel to other states to attend their COVID-19 vaccination appointments, as well as for emergencies.
The EMCO in several sub-districts and localities in Selangor and KL will be in effect until July 16th.
Meanwhile, Bukit Aman says those in EMCO areas can travel for medical purposes, including to receive the COVID-19 vaccine without prior police permission.
They say each vehicle is allowed a maximum of three passengers, including the driver.
They are only required to show their vaccine appointments when stopped at a roadblock.
