A lot of us probably grew up watching Malaysia’s favourite twin brothers Upin & Ipin. They have since evolved from short series to full length movies, with people thronging the cinemas to watch their adventures on the big screen.
Recently, one of their movies - Keris Siamang Tunggal, was put up for nomination under the Best Animation Film category at the 2020 Academy Awards alongside 32 other international animation films.

Upin & Ipin: Keris Siamang Tunggal tells the tale of the twin brothers and their friends in the kingdom of Inderaloka, where they have to save the kingdom from an evil king.
The producers of the show, Les’ Copaque Production, posted about it on their Twitter account, thanking Malaysians for their support.
Keris Siamang Tunggal collected RM 25 million at the local box office after three weeks of screening, and had an audience of over two million.
Recently, the RM20 million show also received Best Film Story at the 2019 International Animation Film Festival (Animaze) in Montreal, Canada.
