A 41-year-old patient, known as Francesco at the Istituto Clinico Casalpalocco (ICC Casal) Parocco COVID Hospital said that he opposed vaccination, but if he could turn back, he would have gotten the jab.
“Vaccines don’t stimulate self-confidence, but unfortunately we have to do that, because in any case, only vaccines can help at the exact stage of the pandemic,” he told AFP.
The hospital currently has 19 COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
According to its medical director, Roberto Mezanotte, 17 of them are unvaccinated, “Almost 90 to 95% of our ICU COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated,” he told AFP.

In September, the hospital analysis showed that 69% of its COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated.
“Most of the time, ICU patients are unvaccinated, and these are the ones who are at the highest risk, and are more likely to get worse, and require intubation and assisted breathing,” said Mezanotte.
The vaccine works, guys! It protects you from getting very, very sick if you’re infected with the virus.
We hope that every Malaysian will get the vaccine as soon as it’s available to you. It could save your life!
