According to The Sun Daily, a 36-year-old female suspect walked into the convenience store at around 7 am and picked up five packs of cigarettes, a lighter and some candies, which totalled up to about RM150, and then attempted to walk out of the place.
Petaling Jaya chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said when the cashier demanded payment, the woman told her that her “superiors” are on their way and will settle the payments.
The suspect then fled the scene in a police patrol car.
On the same day at around 5 pm, two policemen aged 31 and 38 from the Dang Wangi district police headquarters were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the robbery.
The woman and the fourth suspect, a 27-year-old man, were held following an interrogation.
Nik Ezanee said checks showed the woman has past criminal and drug-related offences. The case is now classified as robbery and the four suspects are being held under a seven-day remand order.
