So remember the man believed to be a COVID-19 patient who escaped from Penang Hospital (HPP) yesterday (November 15th)?
Well, police found him sitting in front of a shop in Bayan Lepas last night, about six hours after he fled the hospital.
Which is crazy, because Bayan Lepas is about 25 kilometers from HPP!
Police immediately made arrangements for the 23-year-old to be brought back to the hospital for further treatment after finding him.
Astro AWANI confirmed the matter with Penang Health Director Dr Asmayani Khalib, although he declined to comment further.
The man, originally from Kepala Batas, wasn't in his bed at 3:20pm yesterday, but he did conveniently leave his pink surveillance bracelet behind.
Let’s hope he didn’t make things worse for Penangites!
