KL Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief ACP Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the road will be closed for more than 72 hours as DBKL is expected to take two or three days for repair works before reopening the road to traffic.

According to Sarifudin, vehicles coming from Selayang heading towards Cheras or the south will be diverted at the Dato Onn roundabout, Jalan Parlimen and then to Jalan Sultan Iskandar.
Meanwhile, those from Jalan Maharajalela, the Sultan Muhammad roundabout and the Hishamuddin roundabout will be diverted to Jalan Raja to reach the city center or to head north.
Motorists from Jalan Parlimen heading towards the Dato 'Onn roundabout will be diverted to Jalan Kuching, while those from Jalan Tun Perak will be directed to Jalan Parlimen.
The public is advised to be cautious when in the vicinity and to plan their trip if going into the city centre.
