On the East Coast Expressway, the stretch between Chenor and Karak have been closed due to rising floodwaters at KM86.4, KM113, KM115 and KM126. Only the road from Lanchang heading towards the Karak toll and KL can be used.
Drivers from the East Coast heading towards KL can take a detour to Muadzam Shah, continue your journey towards Kuala Pilah and enter the PLUS highway heading North.
Other alternative routes that drivers can consider are the ones posted by the Public Works Department (PWD).
Nevertheless, drivers are advised to cancel any plans for travelling between the East Coast and the Klang Valley for now.
This is due to the fact that the floods in the East Coast are getting worse, namely in Pahang and Kelantan. Here’s the updated list of roads that are closed due to stagnant floodwaters.
