RM50 Will Be Credited Into Your e-Wallet Once You Sign Up For The MySejahtera App

Malaysians will get RM50 credited into their e-Wallet once they’ve signed up for the MySejahtera app, said Minister of Defence, Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri in daily his press conference (8 June).

“As announced by the Prime Minister, an amount of RM50 will be credited once the people download the MySejahtera application. This is to encourage people to use this application,” he said in his daily press conference in Putrajaya (8 June).

The MySejahtera application allows the Ministry of Health to identify and take necessary action to curb COVID-19 as it alerts them of the latest information concerning those who are infected with the virus. 

According to the Malay Mail, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his PENJANA announcement last Friday (5 June) announced that the government will be crediting the RM50 into each Malaysians’ e-Wallet accounts to spur cashless payment. 

He added that this would matched by another RM50 cash-back or discounts by e-Wallet operators and would benefit 15 million Malaysians above 18-years-old and earning below RM100,000 annually.
