Do you remember a mother who went viral after posting a video of her baby who took a puff from a vape that was given to him by his parents?
The parents recently pleaded not guilty at the Selayang Sessions Court on (June 10th) to the charges of neglecting their 9-month-old son by letting the child smoke a vape last month.

According to Astro AWANI, the accused, aged 23 and 21 respectively, were charged of neglecting their child by giving him a vape to smoke, which would likely cause the child physical and emotional harm.
The offence was committed at a house in Taman Sahabat Jaya, Batu Caves at 1 am on May 2nd.
They were charged under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Children Act 2001, which if convicted, can be punished under Section 3 (1) of the same act, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum fine of RM50,000 or imprisonment up to 20 years or both.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Shasha Hidayah Nor Azahar offered bail of RM8,000 with one surety for each accused. The couple, who were not represented by a lawyer, applied for low bail.
Each of the accused was bailed with RM6,000 and they must report to the police station once a month and are prohibited from living in the same house with the victim until the case is completed.
The court set July 16th for re-mention of the case.
