Over 11.4 Million Adults In Malaysia Have Completed Their Vaccination!

As of Tuesday (August 17th), 48.7% or more than 11.4 million adults in Malaysia completed their COVID-19 vaccination, while 74.5% or 17.43 million adults received at least one dose of the vaccine. 

According to the Special Committee On COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), a total of 525,111 doses were administered on August 17th. 

Selangor continued to record the highest number of doses with 96,857, followed by Johor (72,566) and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (64,361).

Meanwhile Sabah has administered 58,944 doses of the vaccine followed by Penang (31,218), Perak (29,356), Kedah (27,703) and Kelantan (26,905).

This brings the cumulative number of vaccines administered nationwide to over 28.83 million. 

As for the total population, 48.7% or 11,400,456 individuals have completed their vaccinations while 74.5% or 17,437,286 have at least received the first dose of the vaccine. 

Great job, Malaysians! Let’s help our frontliners to flatten the curve by getting ourselves vaccinated.
