Like something out of a movie, someone successfully managed to stalk a Japanese female pop idol and even found out where she lived.
The attacker is said to be an obsessed fan who zoomed into the high-resolution selfies she shared on social media and identified a bus stop reflected in her pupils. He was then able to match the image to a street using Google Maps, and even guessed which floor she lived on based on the windows and the angle of the sunlight in her eyes.
The victim was on the way home when the stalker struck - he had been waiting for her at a bus stop and followed her to her door before approaching her from behind and covering her mouth with a piece of cloth. He then dragged her to a dark corner and molested the victim, with her face sustaining injuries in the ensuing struggle.
The attacker has since been arrested, but the fact that this happened is not something to be taken lightly.
Especially for those with a huge number of unknown followers, precaution should always be practiced!
