Sandiaga said trial reopenings of 20 tourist attractions in the region categorized under Level 3 and Level 2 of the Enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM) have shown some positive outcomes.
This is due to the implementation of the CHSE standard (Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environment Sustainability) and the use of the integrated health and mobility tracking app, PeduliLindungi.
However, Sandiaga pointed out that tourists are still being complacent on some of the health protocols, especially where selfies are concerned.
“Especially when taking photos, when they’re taking selfies, tourists tend to take off their face masks, even after we tell them not to,” he said.
We urge the public to keep their masks on, even if it’s during a visit to open-air destinations.
So, guys, if you’re in Jakarta or Indonesia, or if you’re planning on visiting the country, remember to always follow their safety protocols.
Travel safe, everyone!
