A man was arrested in Kepong on Tuesday (August 3rd), after trying to bribe a police officer with RM10,000 cash!
He was using bribes to try and free his two friends who were arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking in front of a hotel in Jinjang, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.

According to Astro AWANI, Sentul district police chief, ACP Beh Eng Lai said the 28-year-old suspect had previously been warned not to do so, but he ignored the warning, which police then arrested him and handed him over to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) with evidence.
The man was arrested at 7:45 pm the same day under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (MACC Act 2009).
“Earlier, two of his friends were arrested in a raid at 3:45 pm in front of a hotel in Jinjang on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking and police found 10 plastic packets containing 130.5 grams of cannabis, estimated to be worth RM13,000.

The urine screening test conducted also found that the first suspect was positive for methamphetamine and cannabis besides having 25 criminal records and seven drug-related criminal records, while the second suspect was negative and had no criminal record,” he said in a statement.
Beh added that the two suspects were remanded for seven days until August 10th and the case will be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act.
