This, as starting April 1, our international borders will once again be open.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says with the reopening of borders, Malaysians with valid travel documents will be allowed to travel abroad.
Meanwhile, fully vaccinated travellers can enter the country without having to undergo quarantine, however they must take the COVID-19 RT-PCR test two days before departing, and the professional RTK-Ag test within 24 hours after arriving.
The PM also announced that starting April 1, Malaysia will begin its transition into the endemic phase of the coronavirus.
As such, business premises will no longer be subject to restricted opening hours.
This means Malaysians will be allowed to dine in at restaurants past midnight.
Datuk Seri Ismail adds that the new ruling will also enable Muslims to have their pre-dawn meals at eateries during the month of Ramadan.
However, Malaysians must continue to wear a face mask, while MySejahtera check-ins will only be required for indoor areas.
It’s always better to be safe than sorry, so please remain vigilant!
