Starting today (February 5), night markets, barbershops, and car wash centers will be allowed to operate under strict SOPs.
Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the decision was made following a risk assessment conducted by the Health Ministry.
Here are the operating hours and SOPs:

Night markets allowed to operate from 4pm until 10pm, but must adhere to these SOPs:
• one metre distance between stalls.
• different entry and exit routes.
• strict control and monitoring by RELA personnel.

Barbershops and hair salons allowed to operate until 10pm.
• can only provide haircuts, not facials and other services.
• staff required to wear face shields.
• operators should allocate one disposable apron for each of their patrons.
• Must ensure the equipment used such as scissors are sanitised.
Car wash services are also allowed to operate until 10pm.

However, in the event businesses are found to have positive Covid-19 cases or if they breach the SOP, Putrajaya says the authorities will instruct them to close.
