According to BERNAMA, Penang police chief Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan said that the 54-year-old man was apprehended while at church around 8:30 pm on Monday (November 23rd), following police reports lodged against him by several victims, including two from Seberang Perai Utara.
The authorities have been informed that there were also reports in other states over the same incident.
Police have also seized a mobile phone from the priest, who is also deaf and dumb.
“I want people to stop speculating ...let us do our work,” he said.
The suspect was remanded for four days to assist investigations under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
It is learned that the incidents had occurred over the past few years and they happened when the priest was with a victim in the car or house.
We hope that the victims are okay!
