A physical education teacher at a school in Kulai, Johor had made his students run 30 laps around a volleyball court as punishment for not completing their homework.
According to the China Press, the incident happened on May 11th after a few students from her class failed to complete their homework, which resulted in the punishment.

After 15 rounds, a female student began to feel sick and developed heart palpitations, as a result, she was allowed to walk the last 15 rounds, with her facemask still on!
But when she got home from school, she complained of chest pains and breathing problems…
The girl’s heart rate had shot up to 200bpm when she was taken to a hospital, according to the student’s aunt's Facebook post.
Her aunty revealed that her niece “had to undergo a cardioversion procedure for a few seconds in order to help control her heart rate” before she was admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU).
The girl’s mother questioned why the entire class was punished when only a few students had failed to complete their homework in the now-deleted Facebook post. This also caused her to question the teacher’s disciplinary methods.
“Why tell the kids to run when they could have easily walked?” was also one of her mother’s many questions for the school.

Meanwhile, 8world News reported that the school initially denied the PE teacher told the children to keep their masks on and that they were allowed to walk if they were feeling ill, however, the student’s mother claimed that her daughter told her otherwise.
The mother also stated that her daughter is not delicate to punishments, but she believes that there should be a limit. “When I found out my daughter needed a cardioversion, my heart ‘died’ as well!”
Her family had gone to the school to discuss the situation with the administration, and the school’s headmistress states: “The teacher acknowledged his mistake and apologized to the parents, who accepted his apology.”
The parents have decided to amicably resolve their dispute with the school and have decided not to pursue the case any further.
