Hulu Terengganu Conducts House-To-House Vaccination For Bedridden Patients, Homeless, Elderly And Disabled

The COVID-19 Special Immunization Task Force (CITF) is conducting house-to-house vaccination for bedridden patients, the elderly, homeless and disabled in the Hulu Terengganu district.

According to Astro AWANI, Hulu Terengganu district CITF Chief, Ahmad Azizi Zulkifli said the initiative implemented since last week was an effort to increase the vaccination rate in the district.

So far, more than 100 groups have received the COVID-19 vaccine at their homes. 

“Besides the COVID-19 vaccine outreach program at our vaccination centres (PPV), the home-to-home vaccination program is also one of our strategies to achieve herd immunity as quickly as possible,” he said.

So far 35% of the adult population have completed both doses, while 57% of the adult population in the Hulu Terengganu district have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
