Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Bring Your Children To Shopping Malls!

Now that the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) is in full swing, and life seems like it’s getting back to normal…

Many have been asking whether it’s safe to bring children to the shopping mall.

Well, the Ministry of Health shared on their Facebook page, that parents should be extra cautious and it’s better not to bring your children where they can be exposed to a crowd.

Parents will not be fined according to the Act 342 (Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988), however, parents should be super cautious and they need to prepare to face the risks as the COVID-19 virus is still among us.

The post said: “If something bad happens, do not blame anyone else but yourself for not being a responsible guardian. This may be a little harsh, but this is the reality as of now.”

“Small children and the elderly are at the most risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus. The ministry urged, and even begged the guardians not to bring them out. Even adults are advised to not go to places that are crowded with people and abide by the SOPs. What more children?” they added.

Do we really want to risk our children’s health and safety, just because we want to have a day out with the children at a crowded shopping mall?

The Ministry then pleaded with the public to keep their children safe at home and wait until it is safe to go out when everyone is already practicing the new norm.

“There are no recorded cases of children dying from COVID-19 because the authorities tried their best to deter irresponsible parents from bringing them out. However, there are still parents who want to go against the law.”

Let’s just keep the kiddos at home, for now, okay?

In the meantime, here’s something you can do with the little ones at home to keep them entertained!
