Hari Raya Aidiladha or Hari Raya Haji falls this Friday (July 31st), but of course, Malaysians will be subject to coronavirus SOPs, amid the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced in his daily press briefing today (July 27th), that the government had revised the SOPs for korban activities.

Here are the guidelines:

  • No kenduri will be allowed at the location where the korban activity is held.

  • Attendees will be allowed packed food.

  • As for home visits, only 20 guests are allowed at a single time.

  • Those still under home quarantine are not allowed to meet guests.

  • The number of animals allowed to be slaughtered will be reduced.

  • Attendees will be capped at 20 people per animal.

Datuk Seri Ismail also reminded the public that authorities will be on guard to ensure that SOPs are strictly followed, while he also reiterated that the MCO could be brought back, if the number of new daily COVID-19 cases hits three digits.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha! Don’t forget to stay safe, ok?
