PDRM has clarified how the public can get a travel permit from the police, and it’s pretty easy and quick!
There are four categories of people who would need to fill up a form and to to the nearest police station to get it validated, they are:
Individuals from areas where the CMCO is implemented and need to go to other states due to emergency reasons (sickness or death).
Individuals who want to cross areas that are implementing CMCO for emergency reasons.
Individuals from outside who want to enter areas which are implementing CMCO due to emergency reasons
Individuals who are travelling by air using Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), KLIA 2, and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah

PDRM further explained:
Example of situation for category 2: An individual from Johor who wants to go to Penang via Selangor will have to fill-up the form and submit it to the closest police station near their home before starting their journey.
Example of situation for category 3: An individual from Melaka who wants to enter Putrajaya for an emergency will have to fill-up the form and submit it to the closest police station near their home before starting their journey.
If you didn’t fill-up the form and are already on your way - you need to download the form online (please stop somewhere first!) and submit it at the nearest police station to get it verified, BEFORE you cross the state borders or run into any roadblocks.
Drive safe, guys!
