"Hangry" officially became a word in the Merriam-Webster dictionary last year, and we're so happy it did! Because it gave us a legitimate word to use to warn our partners that the mood in the car is about to change.
But a man in Kampung Selamat, Penang took being hangry a bit too far by torching his parents’ house because he couldn't find any food!
Luckily, his mom caught him in the act and the elderly couple managed to save the house before too much damage was done.
The police were called after that and the 34-year-old was found to be high on drugs when he was picked up. Turns out he had just been released from prison and his parents had already gone to the cops several times before because they were scared by his outbursts.
Hopefully the man gets some help so his parents can live out their retirement years in peace and quiet.
