The mother of 10 and grandmother of 84 grandchildren, received her COVID-19 vaccine at the Lahad Datu Hospital Vaccination Center (PPV).

Hairan was seen happy and enthusiastic when arriving at the vaccination centre to get her second dose of the vaccine.

According to Astro AWANI, her son, Salim Etong, who is 77-years-old, said that his mother’s actual age is 110 years old, but due to the document data collection situation in the past, his mother’s age on her MyKad is 102.

“If you look at her MyKad, it says that she is 102 years old. Before, there was no birth certificate and she was registered late. Her real age could be around 110 years old,” he said.

He also added that his mother was not afraid to receive the vaccine and was even eager to be vaccinated because she wanted to be an example to her children and grandchildren so that they wouldn’t be afraid.

Meanwhile, Lahad Datu Hospital director, Dr. Ridwan Hashim said that the presence of the 102-year-old senior citizen definitely inspired the younger people to register for their vaccination.

He also urged everyone, especially the elderly, to get themselves vaccinated.

Wah, she is an inspiration!

So, what’s stopping YOU from registering for the COVID-19 vaccine? Jom lah get vaccinated, together!
