A company director in Shah Alam has pleaded guilty to selling ‘Long TV’ Android boxes.

He was charged for violating copyright laws by offering pirated streaming of TV channels.
The charge carries a penalty of a fine of up to RM40,000 and jail term of up to 10 years.
The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says he will be sentenced on March 1st.
It reminded the public not to be deceived into buying such illegal devices that offer pirated streaming of paid content.
Stern action will also be taken against those who sell such devices.

Reports can also be made at e-aduan.kdnhep.gov.my or in person at any nearby MDTCA office.
