CMCO: Employees Working From Home Should Still Be Paid In Full

Under the government’s new work-from-home (WFH) directive, employers must pay the full salary of all employees during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said employers are also not allowed to force workers to use their annual or unpaid leave during this period.

“This matter is in line with the order and statement issued by the Human Resources Ministry during the movement control order (MCO) in March.”

“However, employers can discuss with their employees over any actions and decisions taken for the sake of common interests,” he said.
