Our government and frontliners have worked tirelessly to keep the COVID-19 outbreak under control, and now it is our responsibility to make sure that a second wave does not happen.
According to BERNAMA, social activist and politician, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said that many can be seen paying lesser and lesser attention to the SOPs set by the government, especially when it comes to wearing face masks and keeping social distances in public places.

He said: “They began to care less now and they don’t want to do anything anymore. They know that they should wear face masks in public places, but many of them don’t.”
“What’s more worrying, social distancing is no longer being observed. The one metre distance has reduced to half a meter. This is very serious. We don’t want COVID-19 to return with the second wave.”
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin spoke about his concerns over the 13 new COVID-19 clusters that were detected over the RMCO period and reminded the general public on the hardship the people and the country would have to endure if a lockdown is reimposed.
Tan Sri Lee also said: “The government hopes that all the people can give their cooperation and play their part so that we don’t have to go back to living under MCO again. What the government is asking is not just to wear a face mask but to protect yourselves and the people around you, around us all.”
We wouldn’t want another lockdown now, do we? Be responsible, Malaysians. Stay safe and stay healthy!
