All 27 Districts In Sabah Are Now In The COVID-19 Red Zone Category

All 27 districts in Sabah are now in the COVID-19 red zone category, said Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Masidi, who is also the Sabah spokesperson on COVID-19, said this after the Nabawan district, which was previously categorized as an orange zone, was put into the red zone category.

Besides that, 770 cases (62%) of the COVID-19 cases reported on Monday (August 9th) out of 1,274 are from close contact. 

“It is followed by 295 cases of 24% that are symptomatic contact screening while 7% or 87 cases are from existing cluster screening.

“A total of 842 cases were in Category 1 and Category 2, 11 cases in Category 3, five cases in Category 4 and two cases in Category 5,” he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Kota Kinabalu still recorded the highest number of cases at 310 cases followed by Tawau (206 cases) and Penampang (127 cases).

Tongo is the only district that has not recorded any new cases.
