Malaysians are flipping out over news that a restaurant by British celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, is opening right here in Bandar Sunway!
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and Sunway Resort just announced the opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, which will make this his first-ever Malaysian restaurant, and also the concept’s first location outside of London, UK!
Soon, Malaysians will get to enjoy an extensive menu offering everything from snacks and light bites, to Ramsay’s signature dishes that we all know, such as Beef Wellington and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the Sunway Group as we expand our Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill concept into Malaysia, and very much look forward to sharing our wonderful menu and famed guest experience with local and international diners in 2021,” said CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, Andy Wenlock.

The project, which will be located at the lobby level of Sunway Resort, is set to be a gastronomical world-class experience, as you dine in an inviting ambience with contemporary interiors, overlooking the infamous view of Sunway Lagoon, of course.
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will only open its doors in June 2021, but it’s already accepting reservations!
While this is all very exciting, it’s also a wonder why the highly-anticipated restaurant is opening amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and there’s no telling how Malaysia will be at the time.
As it stands, a Movement Control Order (MCO) starts in six states from today (January 13th), while a state of emergency will last till August 1st, or when the situation has been brought under control.
