We still can’t get over last night…
BamBam, the talented and charismatic member of GOT7, was in KL for his 1st World Tour [AREA 52] concert, and the SYOK team was on hand to experience this unforgettable evening. The day before the concert, we were privileged to attend the press conference at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur's main entrance, where we got an up-close and personal look at the man of the hour.
The anticipation for the concert was running high, but even before the main event, BamBam showed his love and appreciation for his fans by hosting a fan signing event. Lucky fans had the chance to meet BamBam in person, and they were not disappointed. His sweetness and genuine kindness shone through, leaving fans with an indelible memory of their favourite K-pop star.
The day of the concert finally arrived, and the SYOK team, along with our friend Calista from HITZ, eagerly made our way to the Mega Star Arena to redeem our wristbands. But before heading to the venue, we couldn't resist checking out the mini event organised by the dedicated Malaysian fans of GOT7. OneStreetKL in Sungei Wang was buzzing with activity, featuring a cafe pop-up that offered freebies, BamBam's fan-made photocards for those who made a minimum purchase of RM15. Fans could also explore a designated area decorated by the fans, creating a perfect backdrop for photo opportunities. As if that weren't enough, the thoughtful fans had also prepared free water, recognizing that the energy and excitement of concerts can leave attendees feeling parched.
The concert itself was a night to remember. BamBam performed all of our favourite songs from his album and showcased his amazing stage presence. He connected with the audience on a deep level, showing kindness, cheekiness, and a great sense of humour. His playful interactions and teasing of fans were met with laughter and cheers.
The highlight for some lucky fans was when BamBam handpicked around 20 of them to take a 1-on-1 photo with him backstage, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
But that's not all! BamBam's love for his fans extended beyond his solo work. He paid homage to his roots by singing a few GOT7 songs, a gesture that undoubtedly warmed the hearts of Malaysian IGOT7s.
The longing for the full group was evident, but BamBam's performance was a reminder that GOT7 is still in the hearts of fans.
After the electrifying performance, fans had the opportunity to get up close and personal with BamBam during the Hi-touch session. It was a testament to his professionalism and dedication that even after a two-hour concert, he remained relaxed, smiling, and genuinely grateful to every fan who came to his show. His continuous expression of gratitude only deepened the love and admiration his fans had for him.
As if the night couldn't get any better, after the Hi-touch session, the SYOK team, alongside our friends from ERA and HITZ, had the privilege of taking a group photo with BamBam on stage. Once again, his warmth, laughter, and friendliness shone through, creating a memory that will be cherished forever.
In the end, BamBam's 1st World Tour [AREA 52] concert in Kuala Lumpur was a night filled with music, laughter, and love.
His incredible talent, boundless energy, and genuine connection with fans left an indelible mark on everyone who attended. We can only hope for more opportunities to see BamBam, and perhaps even the entire GOT7, in Malaysia again in the future.
