McDonald’s Anugerah Guru Inspirasi is back again for the fourth year running, and they’re calling for nomination submissions nationwide for Malaysia’s most inspiring teachers!

Malaysians can share stories about how their teachers have inspired them or their children to succeed and fulfill their potentials, to accomplish more than they thought possible.
This National Teachers’ Day on 16 May 2020, Anugerah Guru Inspirasi gives Malaysians the opportunity to shine the spotlight on their inspirational teachers that often go beyond their call of duty!
The award will be given to 25 most inspiring teachers and each will receive RM5,000 in cash, a trophy, a sash and a certificate of recognition at a ceremony organized by their respective schools in conjunction with Teacher’s Day.
That’s not all… Malaysians who nominate their awarded teachers will also be receiving RM200 worth of McDonald’s gift vouchers. Wow!
Launched in 2017, Anugerah Guru Inspirasi has since received an encouraging response with over 11,500 submissions and has awarded 56 teachers nationwide.
“Anugerah Guru Inspirasi as part of #McDSayangCikgu is all about appreciating, celebrating, and recognizing the efforts of our teachers. McDonald’s believes that teachers are instrumental not just for the academic growth of children but for their personal growth as well. A teacher who has a positive influence on a student can set off a chain reaction that goes far beyond the classroom. McDonald’s Malaysia is committed to making sure teachers know they are appreciated and hope to inspire more people to find small ways to make a big difference,” said McDonald’s Malaysia Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Melati Abdul Hai.
#McDSayangCikgu program seeks to appreciate and celebrate inspiring teachers who go the extra mile for their students - and to celebrate these unsung heroes who have guided generations of students academically and creatively, through their compassion and kindness.

Step 2 - Write about how your teacher has inspired you (in Bahasa Malaysia, English or Mandarin).
Step 3 - Add any supporting photos or videos (optional)
