If You Didn’t Post About It, Did It Even Happen?

if you didn’t post about it, did it even happen?

Instagram culture is real and we are all affected, in some way or another. We love seeing nice photos of things people are up to - whether its food, activities or a new place to visit. But do you want to experience it for yourself or to just show off?

More often than not, people are busy snapping photos or recording videos to capture the moment. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with showing what you are up to. But it does take the joy out of the experience. The longer we are connected to our gadgets, the less we live in the real world. There is more validation and excitement from the likes and comments we receive online than from the thrill of actually experiencing something new.

if you didn’t post about it, did it even happen?

Other than OOTDs and new places to visit, food is almost everyone’s favourite topic as well. We all drool a little when we see colorful food pictures on our screens. While there are those who visit trendy places to try the food for themselves, there are yet others who visit and order food that they end up wasting for the sake of showing off. Tagging trendy places, trying a few bites of their food and leaving the rest behind seems to be an increasingly normal habit. Food wastage has never been in trend, but it sure is picking up.

Do you live in the moment or are you a social media addict too?
