When you think of street arts, you’ll think of Penang or Ipoh. But did you know there are amazing street art places in Selangor?
There are several places in the Klang Valley that feature picture-perfect street-art, well-loved by visitors. Check out some of these places for the ‘gram!
1. Laman Seni 7, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam

This art site is a continuation of Laman Seni 2 in Section 7, Shah Alam, close to i-City where it is a creative and beautiful place that aims to appreciate the arts.
This area was completed by Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to change the back lanes of commercial and industrial areas into safe, clean, and quiet environments. Various arts were decorated such as 3D drawings, 3D installations, street furniture, and many more.
Street Art 7 features the concepts of Shah Alam Community, “Tourist Attraction” and also “Green Concept”.
2. Laman Seni 2, Seksyen 2, Shah Alam

Laman Seni 2, located in Section 2, Shah Alam was the starting point for street arts in Shah Alam which later continued to Laman Seni 7. The theme for artworks at Laman Seni 2 is ‘back to school’.
Get ready to breathe in the air of nostalgia where you will find hanging chairs on the wall, a school bus, and animal paintings. Not only that, there is a food court nearby where you can take a break from taking pictures at the mural site.
3. Safari Jejak Warisan, Klang

If you’re even in Royal Klang Town, it is a must to stop at the old town of Klang where there are many shops selling various goods for the Indian community.
Visitors can also stop by to take pictures of the interesting murals with the “Safari” theme along the back alleys of shops in the old town of Klang. The murals will leave you fascinated by various types of animal paintings, almost as if you are at a real safari!
4. Sasaran Art, Kuala Selangor

Since 2008, the Sasaran Art Organization has organized a large-scale art festival every 3 years to create exposure towards street arts.
There are various paintings on the outdoor and indoor walls which visitors can take pictures of. Apart from that, with the support of the Selangor State Government, a 2-storey art gallery named “Kuala Selangor Sasaran Art Gallery” is used as an art center that holds local and international exhibitions and festivals to promote culture and the arts.
5. Mural Jalan Kenari, Puchong

This mural area is located at Jalan Kenari 5, Puchong and decorated with various mural paintings behind the old buildings located on the road.
This mural artwork was completed by 103 final year students from The One Academy, Subang Jaya within 6 days. The murals show the beauty and elements of the Malaysian cultures and portray the uniqueness of the country.
6. Kuala Kubu Bharu Mural (KKB), Hulu Selangor

Kuala Kubu Bharu town is located about 70km from the city of Kuala Lumpur. The town offers nature activities and extreme sports such as paragliding, water tubing and white-water rafting.
Not only that, but there is also a street area featuring paintings on the walls of the old buildings in the KKB area. The 8 mural paintings were completed by 40 students and staff from ALFA College in 2014 with which describe the urban life in KKB.
These street murals or street art is not only interesting and beautiful, but visitors can fill their photo memories with pictures of unique 3D paintings, a mix of paintings with furniture, unique-themed paintings, and more!
Street art provides an opportunity for talented painters to display painting ideas on the walls of the buildings turning the areas into tourist attraction areas.
