The week-long initiative which began on Monday (July 19th) is part of the #KitaTeguhBersama campaign in conjunction with the National Day theme by the Group to celebrate the unity of togetherness while inspiring Malaysians to believe that we can only go beyond when we are together.

Volunteers at the vaccination centre (PPV) assisted with non-medical tasks such as ensuring proper temperature and symptom screening, registrations, and managing the waiting rooms.

Singer and actress, Amira Othman said: “I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to do my bit to help the country fight COVID-19. It is my sincere hope that all of us will get vaccinated soon so we can achieve herd immunity and be protected.”

Astro turns 25 this year and we celebrate the stories of being better together with our customers and communities, all of which makeup “KITA” (translated “Us” in English).

Astro recently launched a catchy vaccination theme song “Get Your Shot Now,” which calls for the public to take action to be registered for vaccination.

The Group has also organized vaccination appointments for all Klang Valley staff since June.

Meanwhile, Astro Kasih, the Group’s foundation has been extending support to the community via donations of essential items and food to Rumah Kanak-Kanak Bondulu in Tambunan Sabah and to the villages surrounding three primary schools – Sekolah Kebangsaan Magandai (Kota Marudu), Sekolah Kebangsaan Malinsau (Ranau) and Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Paku (Kapit), in remote Sabah and Sarawak.
