The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of health care in hospitals.
One of the impacted areas is the paediatric healthcare, where the movement of the young patients in these wards are restricted due to social distancing rules.
As part of its social responsibility, Astro Kasih would like to encourage the kids in the paediatric wards to continue learning via books or education activities.
Astro Kasih is pleased to hand over 60 customised mobile carts filled with fun and engaging learning tools and books to paediatric hospitals nationwide so that the children can continue to learn as they recuperate.
Each educational cart is furnished with stationery sets, games, children’s activity books, and storybooks partially contributed by Astro staff and sponsored by BookXcess and Faber Castell.
IDC Global Holdings Sdn Bhd (Virochem), another sponsor and partner on the project, also donated Hot & Cold UV Light water dispensers to selected hospitals around the Klang Valley area.
The first educational cart was presented to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, while the rest of the carts will be delivered to other paediatric wards nationwide within the month.
Kicking off the new year with a presentation of educational mobile carts to over 60 paediatric wards across Malaysia....
