Malaysians are known for their warm hearts, always caring for their fellow community members, regardless of their background. This kindness is what truly defines us as Malaysians.
An inspiring example of this spirit can be found in a group of neighbors who have come together to support their physically-disabled friend after she faced multiple losses in her life.

\Meet Chen, a 44-year-old woman living with her father and brother in a rented home in Krokop 1, Miri, Sarawak. For over a decade, they shared a close bond as a family. Tragically, a few years ago, an accident left Chen using a wheelchair due to a spinal injury. More sorrow followed when her father passed away due to a heart attack three years ago. And just last month, her younger brother also left this world, peacefully passing away in his sleep.
Amidst these heartaches, a glimmer of light shines through in the form of Chen's neighbors – a group of kind and compassionate people who have lived beside her for more than a decade. These wonderful individuals have extended their care to Chen, treating her like one of their own.
Every day, like clockwork, they send four meals to Chen. Using the light from their phone flashlights, they signal to her that her food has arrived. This gesture holds even more significance because Chen is deaf and can't hear their calls.
One neighbor shared, "She enjoys fried chicken wings, though she can't eat much. But to satisfy her, we make sure she gets four meals a day. Sometimes, we return home late, and she'll be waiting by the gate. As soon as she spots us, she starts waving to show she's hungry."

But their support doesn't end there. They even celebrated Chen's birthday with a cake – a touching gesture that speaks volumes about the bond they share.
These acts of compassion remind us that even in the face of adversity, the warmth of human kindness can create a supportive and loving community. The story of Chen and her neighbors is a reminder that the heart of Malaysia beats with unity and care for one another.
