According to Sports Donga, the 27-year-old singer is reportedly preparing to release his debut solo album next month, and that BTS’ label, BIGHIT Music, is in the process of determining the album’s official release date.

Shortly after the news went viral on social media, BTS’ label issued an official statement saying that “details will be announced once the schedule is finalized,” which in a way, confirms that Jimin’s solo debut is in the works.

The news of Jimin's upcoming solo debut comes just days after the release of “Vibe,” his latest collaboration with Big Bang's Taeyang.

BTS has stated that they will be focusing on more solo activities for the foreseeable future. Other remaining members, SUGA, V and Jungkook have previously discussed working on their own solo projects as well.

Jin, the oldest member, has already served his time in the military, while SUGA is expected to join the army next.

BTS will reunite as a group in 2025.
