Music is always good, and a week-long music festival is definitely even better.

Wired Music Week (WMW) will be returning for the third time in Malaysia. Running from 12th-15th March, this year’s edition will be in Zouk Genting!

Dubbed Asia’s Largest Electronic Music Conference & Festival, WMW has since made itself known to be a great platform for those in the music industry to gather in one place and network with each other. The upcoming year will see new partnerships for WMW with Zouk Genting, Plural Asia, and Paul Neuteboom set to introduce exciting new pillars within the WMW umbrella.

Previous instalments of WMW involved the globally renowned names like Future House Music, Armada Music, and AEI Group, along with international acts like Thomas Gold, Olly James, Dimatik and Adam Sky. The upcoming WMW will feature the theme sustainability.

“The rise of new technologies has increased our consumption of music content at a rapid pace, thus enabling trends to come and go faster than ever, creating new barriers and disruption within the music industry. The theme aspires to inspire conversations, bringing the industry together to explore new methods to maintain the sustainability of electronic music in today’s modern world,” said John Beh, founder of Wired Music Week.

Being the official venue partner, Zouk Genting, Empire, Redtail, and FUHU among other outlets will be open to cater to visitors of WMW.

Plural Asia, an experiential event organiser, will also be one of the other partners in the upcoming event. Guests can look forward to the introduction of their new initiative called Wired Black, which targets the growth and expansion of the underground electronic music scene. Themed “Evolution. Revolution”, there will be a host of activities like keynote talks, panels, workshops, and masterclasses, featuring international and Asia-based underground electronic music professionals. The sessions are co-curated between industry stalwarts Sanjeev Raj (entertainment manager of Kyo KL), JonnyVicious (music director of Pisco & Barrio KL), Adam Mathews (founder of Plural Asia) and John Beh (founder of WMW).
