Chow said that the government will look into the matter and gather more information.
Penang Malaysia Association (Pemenang) president, Tan Sri Mohd Yussof Latiff said the same, calling for the federal government to act and convert it into a gallery dedicated to Tunku Abdul Rahman, who is also one of Malaysia’s founding fathers.

Heritage activist, Khoo Salma Nasution said that the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has the authority to protect the mansion by invoking the Penang Heritage Enactment 2011, and according to her, the local council has the right to gazette the house as a heritage building.
What do you guys think? Should the house be turned into a Tunku Abdul Rahman gallery?
