Recently a woman tried bringing KFC fried chicken into Singapore from Johor Bahru.
According to Mothership SG, the woman was stopped at customs upon arrival and she was forced to finish her fried chicken right then and there in front of the customs officer.

The woman shared the incident on her Facebook page on Sunday (March 27th) at around 1 pm, asking her Facebook friends whether people are allowed to bring food from Johor into Singapore.
“Help! Can someone please tell me whether you’re allowed to tapau KFC from Johor Bahru and bring it back to Singapore?” her caption reads.
However, three hours later she posted another update explaining that the “case was closed” because she had scarfed down her two pieces of fried chicken in front of the customs officers.
Netizens who cross the Malaysia-Singapore border in Johor regularly explained that the regulations clearly stated that one is not allowed to bring food when clearing customs, while others shared some of their “success stories.”

There are also those who pointed out that there were KFC outlets in Singapore and wondered why the woman would risk tapau-ing food from Johor… and apparently, KFC tastes different in Malaysia.

Now that the Malaysia-Singapore border is officially open, please follow the laws and regulations of both countries, okay, guys?
