Police are looking for a woman who escaped from an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) area in Sabah, by slipping underneath the barbed wire placed around Bandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu.
According to NST, the area is among those placed under the EMCO until July 25th.
The 31-second TikTok video which was taken at 8:30 pm on Monday (July 12th), showed the woman wearing a white shirt and jeans crawling under the wire and fleeing to the next building.
The owner of the video could be heard saying in the footage that it was dangerous and that assistance would be given during the implementation of the EMCO.
He also warned the woman not to escape and told her food baskets had already been distributed for the residents.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said police received a report after the footage went viral on social media and are now tracking the woman down.
He also urged those with information to come forward to assist the investigation.
We get it, it’s very stressful and tiring to be trapped inside your house for so many weeks.
But sadly, this is the only way we can help our frontliners to curb the spread of COVID-19, besides getting vaccinated, of course!
We’re all in this together. Stay at home to help flatten the curve. Stay safe, everyone!
