Kuan Chee Heng, or famously known as Uncle Kentang, recently had to temporarily suspend his free ambulance service for sanitisation after it was used to send a COVID-19 patient to a hospital.
In a Facebook post, Uncle Kentang said that his team were not informed of the patient’s condition when the patient’s family called his team, and were only informed that the family had been infected with COVID-19 when they arrived at the house.

His caption reads: “We wanted to leave after we were informed but we couldn’t find the heart to do it. Our ambulance is not COVID compliant as it is not equipped with sanitisation facilities and it would give rise to problems when we take non-COVID patients later.”
But eventually, Uncle Kentang’s team still took the patient and sent her to the hospital.
Uncle Kentang also urged everyone to not hide the fact that you’ve been infected with the COVID-19 virus, especially to healthcare workers.
He said: “Although all of us have been vaccinated, we feel saddened that people do not tell us the truth. If we had known earlier, we could decide on the next course of action.”
Guys, please remember that this virus is no joke! Be a responsible citizen, and stay at home!
