However, the Malaysian burger, or more commonly known by the locals as burger Ramly, is a whole ‘nother level! For the last 40 years, this Ramly burger has taken the Malaysian street food scene by storm!
An English YouTuber, who is known by his subscribers as Eli, said that the Ramly burger is one of the best burgers he’s ever had.
In the 13-minute video, Eli said that he bought the burger from a stall in front of his hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
At first, he was surprised to see a long line of customers, and the waiting time was almost 1 hour, but after tasting the burger, Eli claimed that it is one of the best things he’s ever tasted, “The beef is very juicy and the sauce is sweet.
“The bun, baked nicely. One of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. I love it, man!” he said.
He then placed another order, the double cheeseburger which costs him RM10!
Eli is seen in the video, enjoying the burger while giving a thumbs up to the stall owner, saying: “Boss, this is delicious!”
Malaysians took to the comment section to share their excitement, saying how proud they were of their street food: “Welcome to Malaysia. Even the best Michellin starred chefs can’t replicate the authenticity of our Ramly burger.
“Never mess with Malaysians when it comes to food. They’re great at turning the simplest ingredients into the best food you can enjoy,” one person said.
The video has since garnered over 156,000 views at the time of writing.
