This University Is Taking Social Distancing To A Whole New Creative Level

Now that we are in the Recovery Movement Control Order, we are required to follow SOPs in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 infections.

...and for Sunway University, they’re taking social distancing to a whole new level by making cardboard cutouts of celebrities and have them be the social distancing markers for their students.

Some of the celebrities that were featured include Will Smith, Taylor Swift, Jack Ma; Malaysia’s public figures, Yuna, Chef Wan and Harith Iskander; and fictional characters like Hello Kitty and Woody from The Toy Story. 

They shared the photos on their Facebook page, and it has since garnered thousands of reactions from netizens: “Our team of social distancing companions have been briefed and are now on duty around the campus to keep you company as we continue practicing social distancing.”

Even Malaysian professional squash player, Nicol Ann David herself were excited to find out that a cardboard cutout of her were also included in the lineup!

Their students also joked how they couldn’t wait to go back to class with their new classmates and take selfies with their favourite celebrities.
