Just like the iconic Saga, the kereta Kancil is also one of Malaysia’s favourite and iconic cars- how can it not be, when most of us got our lesen while trying to drive in it?

Photos of a customized Kancil food truck have been recirculating on the internet recently, shared by user @Sarawak_Aritok on Twitter.

The owner, Yahya Che’an is an ex-lorry driver before he started selling murtabak maggi as a part-time job. He’s been doing it for over 30 years, according to Sinar Harian.

Yahya fully customized his Kancil using the equipment from the car workshop he started several years back, and converted the small car into a run-able stall. You’ve got to see it to believe it!

He mentioned that his car can run with just 2 liters of petrol and would be enough for the distance from Petronas in Batang Kali to his house, “The Kancil is not for daily use. I use it for work purposes. 2 liters of petrol is enough to drive from Petronas Batang Kali to my house, it’s not too far,” he said.

...and the murtabak he sells only cost RM3 per piece, while for school children, they can get it at only RM1 for a smaller piece - and they look pretty good, too!

We’re so impressed with his creativity! We’d love to go and see this awesome food truck ourselves!
