The mixed rice packs come with a lot of side dishes like chicken and beef and some vegetables.

However, recently, the stall owner who is known as Shima took to her Twitter account saying that if a customer could not afford the RM3.50 price, she would give the rice to them for free, “Just tell me, I will give it to you for free.

“Don’t rummage through your pockets and put the rice back if you don’t have enough money,” she said in her tweet.

Shima also sells rice packs with seafood like prawns, fish, and squids though it’s not every day and sometimes she sells them at a different price.

She started selling her nasi bajet or low-cost rice packs during the Movement Control Order (MCO) in 2020 while working as a food delivery rider.

One day while she was working as a delivery rider, she bought a pack of rice with some salted fish and a spoonful of vegetables and paid RM7. That’s when she thought about those who are less fortunate and couldn’t afford such prices.

She then told her husband about her idea to sell nasi bajet, who agreed.

However, there are some customers who have complained to Shima saying that her nasi bajet are expensive, despite the RM3.50 price tag.

She explained that she doesn't get much profit from selling the nasi bajet, “I don’t get much profit from doing this. But I am here to help people,” she said.

Keep up the amazing work, Shima! You are such an inspiration!
