Several photos and videos of Lewis Hamilton at a Petronas station in Ampang have been circulating the internet, and one particular photo of the man sitting on a plastic chair recently got the most attention!
Apparently, that exact plastic chair was sold by a Malaysian who recognized an opportunity and seized it.
The item was sold online, labeled: “Kerusi Bekas Tempat Duduk Pelumba Dunia F1 Lewis Hamilton (Rare Item)” which translates to “Chair That F1 Racer Lewis Hamilton Sat On (Rare Item)
…and the plastic chair actually got sold!
The plastic chair was listed with a guaranteed “authentic” badge that allows buyer to get a refund if the item can be proven fake. The seller also listed the plastic chair as “very rare and limited” and that “there is only one available in Malaysia.”
The price is also negotiable.
The plastic chair was allegedly sold soon after the listing went up since the listing was updated to "Sold out."
Well… we hope the buyer got their money’s worth!
