So, mark your calendar, guys! It’s going to be awesome.
The partial lunar eclipse happening this Friday (November 19th) will be the longest since the 15th Century, spanning over six hours!
The eclipse will be visible across the world in North America, South America, Europe and parts of Asia, including India. The last time an eclipse this long happened was on February 18th, 1440. That’s almost 600 years ago!
According to timeanddate.com, the eclipse might be visible from Kuala Lumpur at around 6:58pm and would last until 8:03pm! So, set your chairs out in your backyard and remember to bring some snacks.
What is a lunar eclipse?

According to India Today, a lunar eclipse occurs when Earth comes in between the Moon and the Sun. when the Sun, Earth and Moon are not fully aligned, the Earth obstructs some of the Sun’s light from reaching the Moon.
This causes a slight darkening of the moon.
Cool, huh? This is something we are definitely looking forward to this week. Will you guys be watching the lunar eclipse, too?
