Selling second-hand furniture online is nothing new, but one Facebook post recently had Malaysians talking for all the wrong reasons.

A user tried to let go of a sofa set for RM288, claiming they were moving out and wanted to give it away at a low price. The seller even described the set as their favourite and urged interested buyers to call.
But when photos of the sofas surfaced, netizens couldn’t help but notice the less-than-appealing condition — sagging cushions, worn-out fabric, and even stains that raised more questions than answers.
That’s when the jokes started rolling in. Some compared the set to props from a horror movie, while others said the seller should just give it away for free.
One cheeky comment read: “Not even my dog would want to sit on this sofa.”
Another added: “Even if you give it to me for free, I won’t take it.”

What started as an innocent sale post quickly turned into comic relief for the online community — proving once again that Malaysians always find humour in any situation.
So, would you pay RM288 for this sofa… or not even for free?
