A recent incident on the East Coast Expressway (LPT) in Gambang saw a motorcyclist stumble upon nearly RM1,000 in cash scattered across the road. The unexpected discovery was shared in a TikTok post by @ajiq.jer, where he documented the moment he found the money.
According to the video, the cash started to fly across the road after a Yamaha R25 motorcyclist overtook him.
The motorcyclist, who had clearly been speeding, was likely the owner of the scattered money: "The poor owner must have been in for a shock when all that money flew off, and it was nearly RM1,000! I tried to chase after him, but he was too fast on his R25," the young man wrote in the post.
In a follow-up video, the motorcyclist revealed that after collecting all the scattered cash, he found the owner's wallet as well, "Anyone recognise this guy? His wallet flew off, and I've picked up all his money. It happened just after the Gambang exit, “He was speeding here, and then his wallet flew out. I've gathered all the money from the middle of the road. If you know him, let me know," he said in the video.
The young man was able to locate the owner and return the money to him. In his latest TikTok update, he shared that he successfully contacted the wallet’s owner and arranged to return the cash.
This act of honesty and integrity demonstrates the power of community and how good deeds can go a long way in making a positive impact.
